This face is hollow and not flat. I molded some baking clay around the edges, and poked some holes into it for easy attachment to a flat surface. I then painted the clay with gold acrylic paint. ( Im still wearing my thinking cap...the possibilities are endless!!)

This is a fabulous idea for attaching faces that aren't flat backed and have no holes for stitching... such a great alternative to beaded bezels that often cover important parts of the face! Thanks for posting about it. Also thanks for the posts that show how you are doing other parts of this piece. You are so creative! Robin A.
