This is a fun piece to do. Ive combined allot of different techniques and layers. Im still thinking about a title.

Dance around the Moon

Wow , this was a tricky one to photograph! It is 8 inches across ,with hand embroidery, sequins, and lenticular sheet, and crystal eyes.. The colors are a bit off, though.....

Acrylics on fabric, the flowers are slightly puffed with cotton, metallic fibers, crystals,hand embroidery. I may attach this to some canvas later and build up some more around it.

The bottom is made from bits of fabrics and acrylics. Oh and a little glitter. The one in the middle is just a shoebox painted with markers and then heavily glazed over. The top one has a bunch of crystals on the lid and a little more glitter.( I know, I know , but, I like glitter!)

Too bad this piece does not photograph well. The magnifiers really do a number on your senses! I will cover the back with a nice piece of leather.

My bead journal project

Due to unfortunate circumstances , Ive fallen way behind in last years project, as well as this years. Im sorry to say that I wont be able to finish either one. I will however , continue on with my bigger pieces, and post them for you while I am working on them, and the finished results. Ive got some catching up to do there too! My latest piece is 20 inches across and very time consuming! I hope you are not very disappointed!

Im almost done with the stitching and beading

I have seventeen little magnifiers from the Target pharmacy counter that I will be attaching to the circles from behind before I put the lids on.

Another step taken

I saved seventeen juice lids and lined the bottoms with silver  embossing metal.( I made bumps with the end of my paintbrush) I then painted them with nail polish in shades of purple. These will eventually be attached behind my open circles. I'm still stitching away there and still doing the bead work.
